Joan Martin, Organist

Greetings and Announcements

(Please sign the Attendance Pads as they are passed.  Thank you.)

*Passing The Peace Of Christ

Leader:  The Peace of Christ be with you.

People:  And also with you.

Leader:  Let us extend the right hand of Christian fellowship to our neighbors.

Gathering Music

"Open Now Thy Gates of Beauty"

(royal blue)  #489 (vs. 3)

Call To Worship

(Psalm 63:1a, 2-4)

Leader:  O God, You are my God, I seek You,

my soul thirsts for You.

People:  So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary,

beholding Your power and glory.

Leader:  Because Your steadfast love is better than life,

my lips will praise you.

People:  So I will bless You as long as I love; I will lift up my

hands and call upon Your Name.

Leader:  Now let us worship our God.

*Hymn

"Morning Has Broken"

  (royal blue)  #469 (vs. 1, 2, 3)

*The Prayer Of Confession

(in unison)

Holy God, giver of light and grace, we have sinned against

You and against our fellow men and women, through ignorance,

through weakness, through our own deliberate fault.  We have

belittled Your love, and betrayed Your trust.  We are sorry, we are

ashamed, we repent of all our sins.  For the sake of Your Son

Jesus Christ, who died for us, forgive us all that is past, and lead

us out from darkness to walk as children of light.  Amen.

(Followed by a moment of silent prayer.)

*Assurance Of Forgiveness

(in unison)

Hear the Good News!  This saying is sure and worthy of full

acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might

be dead to sin, and alive to all that is good.  I delcare to you in the

Name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven.  Amen.

Invitation to the Lord's Table.  The Great Prayer of Thanksgiving.

Leader:  The Lord be with you.

People:  And also with you.

Leader:  Lift up your hearts.

People:  We lift them up to the Lord.

Leader:  Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

People:  It is right to give thanks and praise.

Leader:  It is truly right and our greatest joy to give You thanks and

praise, ... Therefore we praise You, joining our voices with

angels and archangels and with all the faithful of every

time and place, who forever sing to the glory of Your Name.

People:  Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven

and earth are full of Your glory.  Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord.  Hosanna

in the highest.  Accept this, our sacrifice of praise and

thanksgiving as a living and holy offering of ourselves,

that our lives may proclaim the One crucified and risen.

Leader:  Great is the mystery of faith:

In Unison: Christ had died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again.

The Lord's Prayer.  Breaking of the Bread.  Communion of the people.

Prayer After Communion

Loving God, we thank You that You have fed us in this Sacrament,

united us with Christ, and given us a foretaste of the heavenly

banquet in Your eternal Kingdom.  Send us out in the power of

Your Spirit to live and work to Your praise and glory, for the

sake of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
