'plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."
~ Jeremiah 29:11.

Call To Worship
Leader: ... God is beyond strength or weakness. God's depth
beyond all knowledge. Rather we, in our weakness, receive
life from God, and to those with no power, God gives strength.
People: Faithful One, before we can even imagine or ask,
You are there, extended. Lift our eyes, and draw us to Yourself.
Refresh us with Your delicate Promises, for Your Word is
spirit and life. Amen.
*Hymn
"What a Friend We Have in Jesus"
(royal blue) #403 (vs. 1, 2, 3)
The Prayer Of Confession
Leader: In the forsaken places of our lives,
People: at times when we travel unfamiliar paths,
Leader: when our barrenness consumes us,
People: Lord, Your Word is spirit and life.
Leader: At times when our own self-doubt demands proof,
People: when we struggle to avoid the way that is narrow,
Leader: when our confidence falters,
People: Lord, Your Word is spirit and life. Faithful One, before
we can even imagine or ask, You are there, extended.
Lift our eyes, draw us to Yourself, and refresh us with
your Covenant Promises, for Your Word is spirit and
life. Amen.
*Words Of Encouragement
Leader: With what words of courage shall we meet God's future?
People: If anyone will claim the new life in Christ -- then they
enter the new creation which God is calling forth.
Leader: We enter this future with Spirit, with hope and the
possibility of right relation through Christ.
People: For God has finished with the past. It is done.
Leader: All of this is an opportunity from God, Who sets us
free from the past, and calls us into the future which
God prepares.
People: God brings us together and sends us out as
ambassadors for the choices of love, justice, and faith.
